Leading UK clean-tech business Arcola Energy secures new 15,000 sq ft facility in Liverpool

Arcola Energy, a leading UK clean-tech business working in hydrogen and fuel cell technology, has secured 15,000 sq ft newly-built premises at Huyton Business Park.
The new premises will house the company’s manufacturing, installation and maintenance facility. In the first year of operation, it will have the capability to build, install and service hundreds of zero-emission vehicle powertrain systems.
Arcola Energy supports vehicle manufacturers to develop, manufacture and deploy zero-emission commercial vehicles. and has a 10-year track record in hydrogen & fuel cell system research & development and engineering.
The manufacturing area of the new site in Huyton will initially be used to produce systems for a fleet of hydrogen fuel cell electric double deck buses to be deployed in the Liverpool City Region.
Alongside buses and vans, the new facility will support the production of systems for trucks, trains, off-highway vehicles and marine vessels.
As part of the Arcola Energy Education programme, the company will link in with local schools to support training and education in clean energy technologies, helping to raise awareness of careers in zero-emission technologies.

Arcola is due to be operational in Autumn 2019.
